View Full Version : Import and Hud kind of "delayed"

made a backup of HM settings and restored them on a new computer
-both computer have different timezones (CET and ET)
-created new DB and imported old hands
-Postgres 9
-PC time and Time of POkerclient are in sync and have same time zone
-using newest internal HM release (same problem with the latest stable patch)

Import and HUd functions are working, however the Hud isn't displayed like usual after the first completed hand it can take minutes.


The import window does not update but hands are imported. The delay is around 1-3 minutes.

Playing on which site?

Move the handhistory files that are 'stuck' in your auto import folders to your archive folder.
Don't add your archive folder as an auto import folder.

Check your auto import import folders:
-that you are using an archive folder
-and you haven't created some sort of import 'loop'

THe auto detect funtion added the archive folder to the import folder list, i deleted it and opened a new table and afaik it does run smoothly now.

I'm gonna play a longer session later, but the problems seems to be solved.

ok i was wrong the problem still persists, when playing a long session stats only appear after a while.

i play on party network (PP and WPT) and Ipoker(titan)

Import folders are: WPT, PP and TITan handhistory, archive (disabled)

What anti-virus/ firewall are you using? You my want to try disabling it to see if that solves your problem.

Are you running as administrator and do you have UAC off?

using windows firewall and avira antivirus.
admin settings are enabled uac is off.
newest patch doesn't help. i tried a new db but the same problem occurs.

Try installing PostgreSQL 8.2: PostgreSQL: Choose a Mirror (http://wwwmaster.postgresql.org/download/mirrors-ftp/binary/v8.2.21/win32/postgresql-8.2.21-1.zip) to port 5433 and connect to that instead.

Can you attach your HoldemManager/Config/HoldemManager.config file?

i used the backup and restore option to save the config on my old computer and imported it on my new one. maybe this could have caused the problem

The link is not working. We just need a single file and not a complete backup. Its the file holdemmanager.config file from c:\program files(x86)\rvg software\holdem manager\config folder (or something similar depending on your installation). it may be just called holdemmanager if you've extensions turned off.
You can attach it directly to a message when replying here - go to advanced mode and use the paper clip symbol above the message window.

ok i did some additional testing, i reinstalled HM and upgraded the DB. before restoring my settings, i pushed start import and the HM table manger pops up instantly, stopping the import is possible. ok after that i restore my config, and do the same but the the table manager doesn't pop up instantly (only after a few sec) and i cannot cancel the import.

Don't use two different archive folders:
C:\HMArchive
E:\Temp



Reinstall again with the full installer and don't restore your config file.

ok after deleting all import folders, and reinstalling everything. it seems to run smoothly now. thank you
