Hi, I cant export more than >4000 hands it just loads the hands forever, no matter if I'm in the "hands" tab or reports tab, always the same thing. Is there another way to export my hands? Is there really no export function and the only way is loading the hands and right click export hands? I don't get it that such essential basic function is not included probably I'm just too stupid to find it?

thanks

Yes it does.

What version of HEM are you running and what OS? What are the specs on your PC?

I just filtered for 22,000 of my hands, on the Hands tab, and exported all 22k in ~2 minutes. I opened up Task Manager and my CPU was pullin 50% and 300Mb - 500Mb. I did notice that the Mem Usage stayed at ~300Mb after the export finished, but the CPU went to 0. I closed HEM and reopened it and the RAM went back to normal 35Mb. My PC is 2.5 year old C2D AMD 4200+ w/ 2Gb RAM. Nothing special, was <$700 at Circuit City.

Tried it with the latest beta now HEM 1.08.04, WinXP SP3, Core 2 Duo T7500 2,2ghz, 2GB ram postges process is switching between 5-30% CPU maybe its correlated with the size of the database? Which is probably around 3-4million hands. With the stable HEM version at least it loads but it needs for 6k hands 9 minutes which is very long.

Is your PC a laptop? They typically have 5400rpm HDs compared to a 7200rpm in most desktops, so the performance will be noticeably less.

1.08.04 is the latest 'stable' build. The current beta version is 1.09 beta 8. - http://208.109.95.123/forum/showthread.php?p=60906

Do you perform regular maintenance on your PC and the SQL DB? Have you ever performance tuned your SQL installation?

SQL Performance tuning: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=172

SQL Maintenance:

- Vacuum/Analyze thru PGAdmin 3

PC Maintenance:

-I also use a program called CCleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com/)to clean temp files and other garbage from my PC

-I use Defraggler (http://www.defraggler.com/) to defrag my HD. I suggest you Stop the PostgreSQL service before defragging, and then Restart the service or reboot the PC completel, after defragging.

After doing all that, try rebooting and then run another similar export.
