Hey,

I have been using hold em manager for a long time now without any major issues.

The database is stored on an external hard drive due to the lack of available hard drive space on my laptop.

I changed the registry keys so hold em manager knew where to look for the database and everythin has been working fine.

However I am now getting error messages when I hope hold em manager which say;

"An error occurrsed when retrieving the player list: ERROR: XX001: invalid page header in block 820 of relation "players" "

There is no players in my hold em manager database available.

Then the same error message comes up again.

When I begin auto import I receive the error message;

"Hand Player error: ERROR: 25P02: current transaction is aborred, commands ignored until end of transaction block. Please e-mail support@holdemmanager.net and let us know what version of PostgreSQL you are running"

The PostgreSQL service is running and the external hard drive is working fine.

Any idea how to resolve this problem

Thanks

What version of HEM are you using? You may want to try to update to the latest beta version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

If that doesnt help, can you please follow these instructions and let me know if it helps.

This is always a problem with either the firewall/antivirus etc so please follow the FAQ here: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34 and most likely them solutions wont work so then continue into FAQ 171 (http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=171) and follow it exactly as skipping any step will proabably fail so make sure not to skip anything

Quoted from fabio:

Looks like his database is damaged. Maybe he plugged out the USB drive while it was still active by mistake or something. He can try a manual reindex via pgAdmin (theres a FAQ on how to do a manual vacuum, reindex is the point next to it so give him that) but I doubt that his database is repairable

Quoted from fabio:

Try doing the manual reindex thru pgadmin (http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=163). If that doesnt work you should try creating a new DB and see if you can connect to it and import hands.

ERROR: invalid page header in block 106182 of relation "playerhandscashmisc"

These were the final messages of the vacuum

It looks like it is unrepairable and you will need to create a new DB then import your archived HHs.

What is the default path of my archived HHs?

I don't think I have changed it however I am unsure where to locate them
