View Full Version : Importation bugs with UTF8 diacrictics

Hi all,

I'm importing my whole hand history on PokerStars on a new HEM database (with UTF8) running on PostgreSQL 9.0 (installed prior to HEM). My PS nickname has a ï character and is, sometimes, badly imported to ï. If it was always badly imported, I could live with it but it is not always the case.

The hand history files are encoded in UTF8 with BOM.

What can I do to force HEM to import my nickname correctly?

Thanks in advance,
Ez.

PS: maybe is there a command in HEM to merge 2 players?

You can create Alias

Are these the original hands written by the poker client or your entire collection of hands as requested from support? Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to support@holdemmanager.com

Some of the original hands from the client, and others from the support. Thanks for your offer but I'll stay with the alias trick, it's ok for me.
