my hem has 2 dbs (one marked 2010 the other 2011). i take it it's possible to delete one db without effecting the other? i want to do this to create more space on my hd. how do i go about doing this the correct way?

HM connects to one database at a time
so if you really want to delete DB - you can do it via PGdamin
see this, but select Delete instead of mainternance
http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/88/Vacuum+Analyze+Database+
But if you will delete database - this is forever. You will have the only option to import original HHs from HM archive.

hey thanks for the advice. i've just noticed i have another db i dont think i use called 'postgres'. is this a default name given to hem dbs? if so, i wouldn't need it. it isn't anything necessary is it?

Don't touch this DB!
It is "internal" for service purposes and don't contain any poker data.
