Hi,

I got my HEM database on my Windows Partition, i didnt expect that the HEM database will be that big so my partition is almost full.
Can i move the databse to another partition and run it on that one ?

I want to keep my current database bc i already gathered alot of hands !

Thanks

Backup your DB using PGAdmin and after you move be sure to connect to EXSISTING DB
You also may want to EXPORT ALL your HHs just in case something goes wrong with the DB.That way you'll have them for re-import if you need to create a new DB.

You dont have to uninstall anything, here is a guide: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=154

Basically, stop the PostgreSQL service, copy the "data" folder from C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.x\ to the harddrive with more space and then follow part B) from the guide

I'm not very familliar with partitioning, but as far as your Db goes,I would export all HHs before doing anything, just in case! Then back the DB and try and re-connect to it.If that fails you have the export!
Have you searched the FAQs bellow?Start there! But I would EXPORT!

can I delete all the postgre stuff from my "almost full" partition after I copied it to the new partition ?

I have tried exporting hands just like the FAQ says. It seems to be going ok, when it finishes it tells me the export file can be found under c:/programfiles/RVG/holdemmanager but I can't seem to find the file anywhere

Tried searching and tried it three times over but nowhere to be found

You have to go> to your Cdrive then go>program files then go> RVG folder>HM folder and it's in there under exported

You have to run HM as an administrator or disable UAC: http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73

I have UAC disabled :)

The file is just missing after it complets. It does what it should do but when I try and go to the file it's not there or anywhere on my pc

Leave the Holdem Manager folder open while exporting again, there is no folder being created?
