upon starting hem, it says i have no 'cards0 png' and i need to put one in the hem folder. no idea what this is all about.

Go to the HoldemManager folder and make sure the file cards0.png exists in both:
/HoldemManager and in
/HoldemManager/Images
(try copying it from one folder to the other if it only exists in one folder)



If that doesn't resolve it:
Reinstall HoldemManager with the full installer @ http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/Holdem_Manager_Setup.exe
