I'm using the latest version of HM,and running it on vista.Got everything working ok,importing etc.
Then i altered a hud layout,and called it 6max layout.it shutdown HM.
Now everytime i try to start it,it says" An error occurred while loading the prefs files: Name cannot begin with'6' character, hexadecimal value 0x36. Line,position6. "
How can i get back into it to change it.[just spent 2 days loading all my hands into it]

i did the same, go into the HM folder where it is and re name - worked for me.

Or do a search to find it and then rename, if you are not sure where it is stored.

Do NOT use numbers when naming stuff

C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml

you will need to edit "<6max HU........" and "< / 6max>" so there are no numbers

(remove the spaces from < / 6max>)

Sorry, should have said to edit it in 2 places at the start <NL6MAX and the end </NL6max but you got it sorted now so thats the main thing
