View Full Version : Very weird shutdown of HEM

Hi there,

Very weird problem I don't know how to deal with.

I had an older version of HEM, which out of nowhere stopped working. It gave the message: "Holdem Manager has found and error and needs to shut down. We're sorry for the inconvience". This message however was given in my LOCAL language, meaning Danish, which I didn't give much thought at first.

However - I tried to update to newest version, did the same, then uninstalled, reboot, download full version, and it still gives the same message.
The thing is however - I don't have any programs in Danish. Not Windows, Word or anything, and obviously, not HEM either. So.. how do I fix this, and how dows HEM know, I'm Danish?

Kind regards,

Asger

Its danish because your regional settings are set to danish. Please try to install HM to a different location, for example C:\Holdem Manager and see if that works

Thanks for the help, but unfortunately, it didn't work. It still says the same when I double-click the "Shortcut to HoldemManager.exe" file.

Anything else to try?

Try this version: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip

Allright, uninstalled, rebooted, tried the other version, rebooted -still the same message.
Also, it doesn't even ask for the registration code - it just insta shuts down.

Could it be anything with the .net framework? How to I update that?

Thx again,

Asger

Go to Control Panel -> Add/remove software and uninstall every Microsoft .NET Framework version you can find in the list.

Then, download and install this one: http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/0/e/20e90413-712f-438c-988e-fdaa79a8ac3d/dotnetfx35.exe
