I've been trying for over a week to get a registration key reissued bu Idle miner. Not a single response to my numerous emails, I've now started to email PTR but still, no support.

So I've now been unable to use HM for over a week, this happens at least 3-4 times a year.

Q: Do I need to buy PT3 to get a supported handgrabber, that is required to run HM in Bodog?

How come PT3 supports Bodog and HM relies on some random coder to activate THIER software.

By the looks of things were getting another coder soon. I guess you like your valued customers installing unproven software (that can be laden with trojans) on computers that generate large amounts of $$, leading to hacking and theft instances.

If HM does decide to support IT'S Bodog cusomers (BODOG IS NOT FULLY SUPPORTED), i would just build it, no advertising, no fanfare, just build it quietly, roll it out quietly, and no doublt some complaints will go quietly.

Idle miner support has replied, and reset my key after 8 days. I do hope HM consider the softly, quiet approach to developing a hand grabber.

Bodog doesn't allow using a handgrabber, so we stopped the development on an internal handgrabber.

Obviously, that's the new coder I was talking about.

So you say Bodog is supported but HM can only be used for Bodog in violation of their T&C? I do understand the passive approach to avoid direct violation, but it is frustrating not having reliable support for a key component (HM functionality requires a handgrabber).

Is there any chance you could provide some support (if not already) to a handgrabber developer, to ensure we have continued support because idle miner may cease support within the next 12 months, and it will probably be without notice.

We understand your concerns, we did attempt to support the handgrabber but they make a lot of changes to their format to discourage trackers/calculators etc

During the development they made a significant change that broke the handgrabber and left us starting from scratch, they could do this again at any time or even every week so were constantly trying to hit a moving target so after considering everything at the time we choose to stop development.

We may reconsider when we have more free resources but for now were more than willing to help any developer that wants to create a handgrabber as its both beneficial to both of us. We do apologize for any inconvenience this causes our customers.

Bodog has a great policy against tracking software: they allow it.... but they don't want profitable players using it. So they don't write handhistories. And they don't allow handgrabbers.

Solution: Idleminer (handgrabber).... which acts as a middle-man as the handgrabber, so HoldemManager doesn't violate their T&C directly. PokerTracker does violate their T&C, and Bodog actually does act against that. (which we experienced when we did the same last year starting with an internal handgrabber) Bodog would make annoying changes to their handhistory formatting with each software update.

When we asked them if they could please stop doing that, they reminded us a handgrabber is against their T&C, so we stopped the development on our own handgrabber. We understand it's frustrating relying on Idleminer, since they can be slow in their updates and responses from their support.

This was last year. Due to Black Friday, it appears Bodog actually now wants to attract some of the grinders that used to play on PokerStars/FullTilt. They're now officially allowing PokerTracker's handgrabber "as an experiment". If they will change their T&C, we'll also bring the internal handgrabber back in HoldemManager.

In addition to all this, a coder has created a (temporary free) alternative to Idleminer.

Thanks, I know it's a tricky spot.
