View Full Version : Pokerheaven (Boss media) import problem of DONs

If I import hand histories of 10max DONs of Pokerheaven, the tourneys show up as incomplete in HM. It thinks I left the tournament prematurely, when in actuality, it ended after 5 people were left. The last hand of the hand history contains this information:

<PLAYER NAME="UNKNOWN" SEAT="1" AMOUNT="0.00" STATE="STATE_EMPTY" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="UNKNOWN" SEAT="2" AMOUNT="0.00" STATE="STATE_EMPTY" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="et68ds" SEAT="3" AMOUNT="330.00" STATE="STATE_PLAYING" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="UNKNOWN" SEAT="4" AMOUNT="0.00" STATE="STATE_EMPTY" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="Derloo11" SEAT="5" AMOUNT="1270.00" STATE="STATE_PLAYING" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="dj9oa" SEAT="6" AMOUNT="7880.00" STATE="STATE_PLAYING" DEALER="Y"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="mohi3" SEAT="7" AMOUNT="2020.00" STATE="STATE_PLAYING" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="UNKNOWN" SEAT="8" AMOUNT="0.00" STATE="STATE_EMPTY" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="Ntvant" SEAT="9" AMOUNT="1350.00" STATE="STATE_PLAYING" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>
<PLAYER NAME="w8iju" SEAT="10" AMOUNT="2150.00" STATE="STATE_PLAYING" DEALER="N"></PLAYER>

As a fix, you probably want to parse an UNKNOWN player as an empty seat. I'm using the latest version of HM.

Can you please provide us with the original hand history so we can investigate this. Please zip the hands and send them to support@holdemmanager.com with a link to this thread.

HM moves all the original hands it auto imports to an archive folder for performance reasons. Any hands you manually imported From File/Folder would not have been archived, only the auto imported hands.

Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. The default path is C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options ---> Configure Auto Import Folders ---> Edit ---> Archive Folder: ___________________

The archive should be organized by \Month\Day Of Month (example: C:\HMArchive\2011\07\31).

Note that this tourneys imports as incomplete in HM when actually it ended after number 6 went out of the game.

This was the only one? Or you have this issue in every tourney?
If one - possibly this means you closed the table too fast.

I resent the history files, thanks

No Sarek, every DON (= Cooler) that is won comes up as incomplete in HM

I replied to your email a month ago and asked you some questions about the file you sent, and asked you to send some more, unedited, original hand histories.

Hi,

Did you edit this file and remove your screen name? We need the original, unedited, file to be able to write up this as a bug. If you edit and save the file it can lose it's original ANSI/UTF-8/etc encoding and it will affect how it imports. We will not use the hand history for anything other than testing your specific bug.

This file imported as 2 individual tourneys, but I assumed it was only one game? One of my 2 games only has 1 hand under it.

My results are attached.

Please send us an original, unedited hand history file from your archive folder.

Please 7-Zip (http://www.7-zip.org) the file before attaching it, as sometimes text files can become corrupted as attachments.

Regards,

fozzy

I'm getting quite dissatisfied with customer service here...

I got a reply this was at the top of your priority list, but it is still not fixed yet. Any ETA for this???

I went over the bugs you reported:

3782 - Double-clicking a single hand twice in hand viewer brings up multiple replayers - fixed
3537 - Luck adjusted winnings wrong in graph - unresolved
4094 - Clicking on Top Hand in Summary Hud opens Hud Settings - unresolved
4189 - New Stars VPP not working in Sngs - Fixed in 6430+
4279 - HM2 Not Calculating Stars VPP Correctly - unresolved

4279 will be the first one that will be fixed.

Do you have an estimate when this will be done? Could you show the bug number in the changelog so I don't have to try and be disappointed each update?

I'm annoyed because I've reported this bug 10 months ago, and it's a fix like "if isDON && numberPlayer < 5 --> Hero has won".

I am sorry for the delay regarding your original complaint. It looks like the original bug did not migrate properly to our new bug ticket system. I was able to find the bug in our old system with the help of Patvs and manually re-write it in our new system. I have written it as a high priority bug because of the delay and will try to get it worked into the developers schedule ASAP.

I have added your email address to the ticket# HM-4359 so we can notify you once we have fixed it.

Thanks fozzy for your kind response. It has been a month now, any news on this bug fix? I would say it would take a lot less time to fix than to talk about it further, actually.

Unfortunately the developers have been busy with all of the stars zoom work for hm1/hm2 and other critical fixes. I have just increased the priority of this ticket and will try to get it moved up the queue if possible but I can't get any more specific than that right now as we are short-handed today for the holiday weekend.

Another month has passed, has this been addressed yet? This is starting to be very, very embarrassing for HM support.

Embarrassing because I've reported this bug many many months ago, and again, it's a fix like "if isDON && numberPlayer < 5 --> Hero has won". It will take 10 minutes to fix this.

It's still an open ticket.

In fact a lot has been written recently to the bugticket.
To summarize: "This is a really problematic bug, and I don't think there's an easy fix for it.

Boss Media does not save any tourney summaries. It does not even save any information to differentiate DONs from other tourneys. "

Thanks for your reply Patvs, but this is just not true. At least at Pokerheaven (a skin of Boss) it says on the first line of the hand history:

<HISTORY ID="2877361749" SESSION="session639085503.xml" TABLE="Cooler" GAME="GAME_THM" GAMETYPE="GAMETYPE_REAL" GAMEKIND="GAMEKIND_TOURNAMENT" TABLECURRENCY="EUR" LIMIT="NL" STAKES="15.00/30.00" DATE="1336172218" TABLETOURNEYID="" WIN="0.00" LOSS="0.00" ENDTIME="13361722489">

The "Cooler" tag means it is a DON tournament.

Are all of the DoN's named cooler? Do you have a list of the names? Please send us any info you have that can help us to distinguish them from regular tourneys with sample hands so we can add them to the bug for the developers. Please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to hm2support@holdemmanager.com

Yes, all DoN's are named cooler in the hand histories, it is that simple. Hand histories have been sent multiple times already, can you guys just fix it please?
