There were a lot of people complaining the new releases ran a lot slower than before the update. It wierd because other than live tracking, I hadn't changed a lot and it was slow even without live tracking enabled.

One change I had made was to update my Visual Studio (the program I use to make HmHud.exe) to 2008 version. I went back and remade it with Visual Studio 2005 and wanted feedback from people with the problem whether it makes a difference.

Replace the hmhud.exe file in the holdem manager folder with the one in this zip.

Thx

Hi Mike,

I am trying to run HEM on VISTA while 24-tabling Full Ring on Stars (Stacking tables) and the HUD horrendously lags up my computer for some reason.

I have a new computer with 4.0 GB RAM running the latest version of VISTA.

Try switching the pre-fetching one hand off on Stars (hud options->site options). It's a huge resource hog.

Hi Mike,

I have a new computer with 4.0 GB RAM running the latest version of VISTA.

Could this be because of the FileSystemWatcher component of Visual Studio?

I have an XP Pro OS and have noticed that when I upgraded from VS2005 to VS2008 some of the apps using FileSystemWatcher that I had developed slowed down as multiple instances of the component were created.

Using this file didn't help any for me. I play 16 tables on FT. Running Windows XP. Under beta 1.08 there was no noticable lag. It seems when I get dealt cards at multiple tables at once it lags the worst but I'm not positive.

Noticed that the check in "Track live hands" at FTP and UB remains unchecked even thou I tried every combo available. Tried apply, tried apply+save and tried just save.

Still its not kept.

Weirdly. The hud stopped working in beta 04 and 05 but when I tried this it worked perfectly

I experienced quite the opposite, HUD seems to be A LOT faster on ongame with the 1.09 betas compared to earlier releases. Before it could take up to 5s for the last hands' mucked cards to show, now they come up almost instantly (most of the time). If you've fixed something like that, thanks! :)

Not a speed related issue but you are the HUD guru so I will ask on here. :)

I am having problems with Nordic Bet Poker (microgaming). Table manager doesnt find the tables? Hands import fine but no HUD. I have click on relaunch HUD, updated from 1.09 B3 to B5, restared my comp and still no signs of a HUD? FWIW the HUD works fine on the iPoker network?

TIA

I was looking back over the code for changes that could have caused slowdown and didn't really see a lot.

Are you guys using the transparent backgrounds? I did some work there to make them prettier, but they prolly take longer to render now.

This is related to Ongame's switch from a DB to a normal hand history file so not related to the issue that Mike is trying to track

I was using transparent HUD backgrounds. I changed it to black but it doesn't seem to have made a difference.

Nope, my skin is still using the old client so still a DB. Maybe I'm just imagining things :)

the only reason i upgraded to 1.09a is because the HUD didn't work on Stars after the recent update--- now the tables lag so bad that the HUD is worse than useless.

my machine--- 2 Gb ram, dual core 2Ghz, XP32bit... 16 tables is a nightmare now

can someone pls tell me which version of HEM will work with the current Stars software?

thank you

Can you guys try this build? There was some live tracking code being called, when it wasn't needed. Please make sure you have live tracking switched off for Absolute, Party, I-Poker and FTP.

Thanks. I appreciate any feedback.
