update won't install

Hi, i'm not sure if this should go here or in the releases forum.
I am trying to update from 1.11.06d and it isn't working. I'm going through the install, next boxes and then the file 'encounters a problem and has to close'
any ideas?

Update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate_1.12.0.exe

During the database update, ignore any "not responding" message, it will unfreeze when the update is finished.
