Roy,

Fantastic article, Determining typical bb/100 ranges based on Stat Ranges!

But, is it possible to make one for the full ring games?
It would really boost my game...

Thanks,

Dennis

Basically any of these comparisons can be done if you have a large datamined DB. If anyone has one with at least 10 million hands let me know and perhaps you could assist with providing the results for a Full Ring DB. Same thing for HU but again, need a hug database for this to work.

The following shows average bb/100 for players using a datamined database of NL 6 Max from NL100 to NL1000 over the last 6 months – I took results from the 1790 players with at least 5K hands in the database.
How did you find those players? And did you had a database of so many hands? Maybe I can provide something?

100% from Data Mining service over many, many months

But I think you gathered all those hands from a lot of player. How did you get 10 million hands in 6 months? I want to help but is it possible/realistic? What must I do?

Data mining services can provide you with millions of hands from different sites, you pay them and they give you the HH that they mine.

As Morny mentioned, mining services do this for you. Using donated hands creates potential biases in the data so we rely on the mining data which can end up being many millions of hands a month per site.

I took a note of the 6 max stats, and then an my own reports from HEM manager on my own DB to find FR stats. Now I only have 500K hands so sample size is not the greatest, however with some thought as to how you wold expect FR to differ from 6max, and observing the standard deviaation value's in the reports*, I feel I was able to define a stat range that was good enough to get started with. Obviously it is an organic excersise unless a real big DB is available.

* Due to limited sample size I run the reports for varying criteria of minimum number of hands per player. This allowed me to ignore stats where SD was excessive, and get a feel for the correlation of other samples. This when compared to the 6max stats gives some confidence.

Woudn't a datamining service give you 10 million hands for free in return for credit or a link in the article?

It would really be great to get this done. I can contribute 2.2 mln hand histories and e306 says he has 6mln so we're getting close. What can we(I) do to make it happen?

Hey guys I've got 500k hands at NL25, 2mil at NL50, and just over 2mil at NL100 on Stars. Send me a PM and it sounds like combined we can perhaps set something up. All hands are under 4months old.

Did anyone ever PM TierTier their hand history stats so he could help come up with something for full ring?? I only have a small base as so I really don't have enough to make a difference, but I would love to see some numbers for full ring if something could be put together.

I bought 2m hands from a data mining source to contribute to a pool of hands Roy could use to do this for full ring games. He needs 10m hands but interest in this project seems to have faded even though I think we have close to the 10m needed if we can just coordinate everything. I think Roy has been swamped with other projects lately but has said he would do it if we can get the needed hands and he can find some time to do it. We need others to show some interest so we can build a little momentum.

Sounds great, let's get the momentum rolling, this would really be great to have this info for full ring, the 6 MAX does me no good as I don't really play 6MAX, and I know many others are in my same boat on this matter.

As a new user of the software I'd add my support to gettig this. Ideally I'd love to see these for full ring cash, tourneys and single table sit n go's. At present I'm using the guidelines in the 6 max for all these which isn't really where I want to be.

Any advice from more experienced users than myself gratefully accepted!

We can buy leak buster. So maybe that's why you don't take any action on our request?

Hi i know its not what people want to hear but the original plugging leaks was a bonus we added to reward customers as we had a bunch of people who played 6max who invested some time in developing and writing it, we don't have anyone on board currently that could offer advice which we would be confident about for full ring.

Also a lot of the 6max stuff is outdated and so we would continually have to update the material, giving we just don't have the development time to dedicate to something like this at the moment and that there is lots of free information available on the forums and apps and training sites etc that cover this in a lot more detail than we would have time to then we most likely wont have anything for this in the near future however when we have more time available we may look at this again.

Daniel

Development of just about anything with stats has been down for a year it seems. People are begging for 5 bet stats for a year, which are a must to have in today's poker.

There are positional stats for fold to cbet, not for cbet. Why? And why haven't they been added yet. Fold to cbet differs hugely IP and OOP, maybe the same for cbet? Nobody knows...

And some more stats below in my signature. You have to admit that those are valuable stats that should have already been implemented for months, some even years. I just don't understand why this has come to a complete stop. If it takes more people to do this, then hire more people! HM is making way more money with the subscription services that did not exist 2 years ago. But you are forgetting the main product.

So, please put some people on the suggestions forum and let them read a bunch of good suggestions and do something with it. It just takes common sense to see the use of these stats, but HM seems unwilling to listen to it's customers.
