View Full Version : can't backup / restore propelry LOT OF ERRORS, whole database lost? hurry to play

hello

i play 90% time on a desktop computer
i played a litlle this summer on my laptop
they both have HM 1.11.06g which works well
i want to update the database of my desktop computer whith hands i played this summer on my laptop
BUT i can not do with export hands / export notes because HM does not do that well. if he has a note on a player on desktop he wont update it with my new notes on laptop ...(he will only do that if i have no notes on desktop and notes on laptoi)

so i have to use backup and restore for whole database

i did it i( called the new restored database majok)

1st time
at the end it says there were an error, that majok does not exists, now when i open HM or databasemangaers it says "error when connecting to majok database : FATAL 3D000:databse does not exist

so i retryed

2time:
i seems to work but in fact it does not because
it put pictures on HM when it opens
it puts bad symbol for currency (i play euro and it put â,- symbol instead of €)
so i can not replay a hand, i cannot review a Hhnd history...
i did not even tryd toi play because i have to solve that fisrt

i can not optimize database (with goal of fixing bugs) because it wont do it, it says the same error : satabse majok does not exists

i m playing around 2 sessions a day so im in hurry especially because at thsi period tables arre very good, thanks a lot to help me

Im' afraid that my databse won"t update so i lost more than a year of datas

Export your notes.


Please update to http://videos.holdemmanager.com/HMBuilds/HmUpdate_Release.exe
Create a new database and reimport all the original handhistories.
Then import your notes.

Or.. since you mostly played on the desktop:
copy the C:/HMArchive folder from the laptop to the desktop and run a import from folder on it.
Then backup the database of the desktop---> and restore it to the laptop. You have to restore it to an empty database.

i have many years of hands to export. If i do it manually (export all hands to HD) it wont work since when i export a hand it goves the symbol € instead of euros. SO i have to correct the file after (find and replace) but for many years of play i will have tones of files to modify that will take weeks so it s not the solution

ok if i take HMarchive i can reimport them in my old database (desktop) but i wont have my note updated since the import notes has a problem( does not update an existing note)
an i will still have the problem with databas does not exists
if you want we could do a Teamviewer i'm free for about 5 hours now
