Hi,

I am trying to move laptops and have all my databases and postgreSQL installed on an external HD.

How do I get the new laptop to "sync" up with these DB's and the existing postgreSQL installation loacted on that drive?

Right now I have HM already installed and postgreSQL fully installed ont he C:\ of the new laptop and one or two DB's already made on the local drive

please steer me in the right direction, kinda a weird situation and I'd rather not have to export HH's and re-import

If you followed the FAQ for connecting SQL to an exsisting DB I dont think you should have a problem.
When you installed sql on the new computer did you follow or did you intall a fresh SQL?

NO
search the forum there has been a few recent "moving to external drive threads"
And if you see MORNY replys check his links for specific FAQs
The one thing I know is when you are Installing SQL on the new box there is a spot in the process to connect to an already exsisting database. you can see the in this FAQ http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/?f=177 (http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/../faq/?f=177)
