ive been using HEM forever and never any problems

all of a sudden i start it up today, and the hud doesnt work

also, it says 'auto importing' but it actualy isnt

HELP

Are you using the latest version of HM?
Did you change anything with your computer recently?

I would start by checking to see if all your import folders are still set correctly in HM.
What site is this? Is there a chance the site changed it's HHs format?

its poker stars, ive used HEM since it came out w/ no problems.

at the beginning of the session i'm playing now, it imported 34 hands. then stopped .

it says auto importing, but it isnt, since when i refresh the cash games tab it still says 34 hands whereas i've played about 300

I've never heard of that happening,sounds strange.
Have you ever done any database maintenence?
Is your computer OK RAM/DRIVE SPACE?

Are you using VISTA(crap) or XP?
Did windows update recently?
Is UAC turned OFF?
Are you logged as ADMIN?

the link with the basic instructions offers no help, ive already done all that.

my HEM has been working fine for months.

i am running XP and yes logged in as admin, no recent updates to windows.

i have now also quit my session, and restarted HEM. still, auto import does not work.

this time i tried import from folder, and went to where my new unimported hhs are, and try to import that folder, and that doesnt' work either.

i have gone to /pokerstars/handhistory/username folder, and the HH files are in fact in the folder.

Are you getting any error messages?
Are you able to see your DB in PGAdmin?
Did you try to go to DB managment in HM?

wow, i just went to options->DB management, and it completely shut down my HEM.

i restarted, tryed again, and it did the same thing

no im certain it isnt. i wasnt able to get to DB management, and the program just insta bailed/crashed, it didnt minimize and bring up the DB window.... everything just bailed. (not minimized_)

after you connect does it show your DB?
is it marked as default?

IT SHOULD CLOSE HM and then the Database control Panel should be left open

im UNABLE to view any DB management window. as soon as i click DB Manangmeent,
THE ENTIRE PROGRAM FAILS

lets get it done just in case, I was hoping to get the HHs exported first but lets not touch HM untill we get SQL backed

i have 4 DBs and the biggest one is 840,100KB

theyre all backed up now.

I would hate to see you lose any of that!
But backing up the DBs may not be enough to protect you from losing the data you have collected.
And what you have going on I really am not sure of.
Have you been Archiving all your HHs?

The thing I'm really getting to is,if I was having this problem,I would want to export ALL my HHs.
That way if the DBs are corrupted I could always re-import to new DBs.
I was going to tell you to do that but I did not know how big the HHs/DBs were!

can i just take the chance on the backups and uninstall hem, then reinstall and load the

".backup" files?

do this 1st
go > c:drv >documents > and see if the new update had created an Archive and placed yur HHs there.

what version HM where you on before today?
when you originaly set up you auto import folder you should have created a processed HHs folder.Did you do that?

yes i have C:HMArchive and it seems to have all my HHs in it since i started using HEM although i could be mistaken. thats better than a 'processed hhs' folder right?

im not sure about what version i was using, but i didnt update today. i updated a few days ago, and since i had updated, it continued to work. seemingly nothing changed.

alright lets see your going to need to get MORNY to help you but we should see if you can export those HHs which will save them all into your HM folder.It will take some time if it exports though.
