Hi, new poster here. I've downloaded HEM and wanted to try it out. However I have PT3 currently and it has already set-up a postgres database. I don't really want to change that databse, so what do I do? I don't remember my current password. Can I create another database somehow and let HEM use that database?

You cant use your PT database obviously but you wont have to delete it either, just start HM and create a new database and http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146

I am sorry that I didn't really describe my problem well. I did read a lot of FAQ concerning this connection to postgres server problem. But they are mostly on 'cannot find/connect/no privilege stuff'. My HEM can find the database, but it cannot access it. Its the pass/login incorrect message, and HEM cannot change it either. I don't know my current postgres database password.

What I end up doing is trying to create a new database in PT3 and HEM, both failed, as auth failed because I don't know my current postgres pass. Is there anyway I can find that out? I have been trying to figure it out in postgres admin, but have not find it yet.

Thank you for your effort though. Appreciated.

Try doing this http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=66 it should allow any username or password

Make sure UAC is disabled first though http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=73
