In addition to the changes shown below we added Auto Rate configuration under the Options menu and in the Replayer you will see the auto rate icons. In the next update or two we will extend this to live tables and then the manager. We also got Cake hands that use Euro number formatting working and fixed the auto import problem from the original release.

The table scanner doesn't seem to be working on Absolute. Each time I hit scan I get an error message saying that the lobby couldn't be found. (yes I'm making sure to do it while the lobby is open, and tried both minimized and regular size)

Right now you can't but they are only on in the replayer while we tweak a few things. In the next few updates we'll be working a lot on the autorate piece including providing options on when it should be used

For the client side scanning it is a one time fee of $64 for Omaha + Holdem for all sites and stakes (and a discounted small stakes version). We will also have a server side scanning option for extremely quick updating for a low monthly fee

Just tried using the table scanner and I keep getting this error message when I press the "Scan" button:

Then it lists about half the available tables and none of them contain any data. I've checked that my font size is medium in the Stars client and that I'm using standard, not cleartype text.

Sorry this was probably a result of adding support for different stat positions for full-size and mini tables. It should be OK once you set them up again.

Regarding Cake, it will only work on hands after May 5th - the first line in each hand will look something like this:

Hand#18454C95E0000004 - Cakefight Friday Super-Turbo T5019104 -- Table 1 -- $0/$10/$20 NL Hold'em -- 2009/04/24 - 15:30:23

If it does not then it will not work and your hands will not import. I have asked my contact at Cake why some people apparently have hands saving in the old format still.

Tourney support for Cake is coming

Autorate only works in the Replayer right now - we want to get one or two more builds in with it just in the replayer before we get it running on live hands through auto import. Our autorate will happen automatically as hands are being played based on your rules for the particular game at each table - should be pretty powerful once it is all running.

You can already use HEM with BossMedia, you only have to run a converter alongside HEM. Even the HUD is working.
And i am guessing BossMedia is going to be implented as soon as the multi-currency support is done.

Live tracking provides player actions during hand - so you can see if player ABC has check raised the turn (for example) when you are making your decision

Right now it is only applied in the replayer and you can set the rules under Options

1.09 first beta just launched. We'll probably add Boss to 1.09 before this becomes an official release. Until then there is a convertor that can be used

Just yours - other players stats will actually track based on their seat number so you will have a CakeSeat1 player (or something like that) for each seat. There will be no hud while playing on cake.

I write an "ö" in the note in the replayer, and in live the "ö" is converted to "___".
And how often refresh the server side scan? Frequetlenty in the scanner the boddie is on the table, but doesn't in the pokerstars.

1.09 (tried all versions) is lagging my computer when I play. Task manager shows very little CPU/memory usage (I have a very new/fast computer), yet when I switch between tables when playing (like I click a table that isn't the active one), it briefly freezes up, it sort of feels like it's stealing focus or something. Switched back to 1.08.04, it runs perfectly, no problem. Sucks because I really need the table scanner. Help/fix please?

Are these hands dated after 5th June? If not they wont import, theres nothing different to get it working just import the hands like any other site, check when importing if there is any errors

2. and still not recognised custom layout for iPoker (sng in mini-view). But OK when swithed to maxi-size.
But (and thinking I'm not the only one) it's hard to play on maxi-view because:
a) bad multitabling
b) HEM bug with stats positioning (do you know maxi tables are not just scaled mini-tables, there are SHIFTED sitbox/chairs locations ?)

How can I get to see the hud stats in replayer. Selecting 'Show Player Stats' in the replayer does not do it.

Also the 'Hand history' text in the top left hand corner that you need to click to see the hand history, sits on top of the pot odds text.

I have imported some cake hands but there seem to be discrepancies between actual amount won and what is says I won. You can see from this HH that I sat down with 800 and left with 2400 but it's only reporting that I won 669

They are doing something weird with stacks > 1000. If you open in Wordpad you see this!

Yea, but he respond to me that he'll probably (oh not again) fix it before the full launch of 1.09. Probably he will do it this time.

There is nothing to fix - it is a site we currently do not support and we have never said provided a version that it would definitely be included with. There is a convertor available to get it working now.

Sorry that it is taking too long but we have other things that are higher in the priority list right now.

I couldn't figure out how it works (while observing on FTP) and when i played i got a Visual C++ Error and had to relaunch the HUD with Live Tracking disabled.

It's probably not just you. The replayer does take too long to load first time around.

I just got done doing a video interview explaining this, but since it may take a while to appear:-

Hud options->site options menu. Switch on the live tracking for your site.

FTP client. Options->hand history switch the language to English.

Open a table and use options to set the dealer chat to everything.

Start the auto import and HUD.

Ok. The problem I have with the Cake add on is that it removes the player names entirely. I know this is to make it impossible to look up stats on a player (which I'm happy about), but it really sucks that I can't go back and review a hand and see who my opponent is and use my notes/reads in my analysis. This is especially bad considering that the player pool at my stakes is not all that large and there's a lot of history between players.

Is there a way to keep player names, but disable the stats tab or something in a future release?

I don't have a screen shot, but if you have the past 3 pots won visible, then it's at the top of that list. When you click on it, a window opens just like it does if you open one of the past pots and is updated as the hand goes on. It shows each player's action as well as how long it's taken them to perform that action.

As far as i know this was the compromise that had to be made for them to allow it, if we allow this then you will also be able to view other players stats which they dont want

Having the same problem herewith Full Tilt. Everything ran fine with 16 tables on 1.08 but now anything over 6 tables and it lags too baddly to be usable.

Thanks for the feedback, we'll try to get another one out later tonight. We had to make some fairly large internal changes in the scanner to make the big speed improvements on the client side which is probably why a few of you are seeing crashes now

Thanks for the link, I've watched the video and my settings are identical to how they were with 1.09.03 when it Live Tracking worked on iPoker. I've just checked and Live Tracking is also not working for me on Full Tilt. Again all settings are as in the video and as how they were when it worked in 1.09.03. It's also not remembering when you tick the checkbox for live tracking for Full Tilt if you restart HEM.

After installing beta 4, HM kept crashing while scanning the FTP PLO lobby. I had a player filter on. In order to narrow down the problem I uncheck all boxes and saved. After that the problem was gone. After that I re-checked the boxes and everything stayed fine. Weird.

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder
2) Uninstall HM via the Control Panel
3) Go to Program Files and delete the RVG Software directory, or the equivalent for Vista
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/holdemmanager.zip
7) Download the latest patch HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmUpdate.exe
8) Test if it for a while and see if it work
9) Close down Holdem Manager and copy the config folder from step 1 and copy and overwrite it to your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder

There's a error in the bb/100 calculation. I play in Cake poker.

It indicate 0.22 but is 22,24.

I just upgrade to 1.08.04 to be used for Cake and I didn't play in any other site.

Hi I made a custom report copyng the original formula but I have the same error, so I changed the original to "Sum(ph.NetAmountWon/100.0/GT.BigBlind) as TotalBBs" but I thing that the error is in the ph.NetAmountWon that is 100x bigger tha the real.

I play on ipoker too. I open table manager from the taskbar. There's a list of all the tables I have open and I right click the name of each table I join. This brings up a new window with a drop down menu and I select the hud I want.

I've set up the live tracking OK according to the video but on FT I get the tracking one hand behind. On the current hand I get a "No bet" message in the top line.

Is there anything I need to do at my end to make the pot odds work?

Once a stake is imported it cant be removed from the stake filter unless you create a new database or just ignore it as it wont actually cause any problems, when we introduce the cache rebuilder it will correct this

Your hud layout shouldnt have any conflicts, conflicts are where for example you have 6max NL ticked in 2 different layouts, when this happens the hud cant obviously select both huds so it reverts to the default one, heres a FAQ with some more explanations http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=135

You can have the same box ticked twice only if you have a different poker site selected from the dropdown box however this allows you to have say 2 different 6max NL layouts for pokerstars and full tilt for example but you must specificy it in the dropdown list otherwise it will be a conflict and revert to the default

I have two monitors, and if I want to use the Table Scanner in client-side scan, the Pokerstars lobby is disappear in to the task bar and doesn't scanning. If I don't use the booth monitor just one, the Pokerstars lobby disappear to the the task bar too, but at least working. It's very exasperating! How can I use normali? I have Vista.

I have only one custom layout for Ongame (and it is set up for mini-tables)
I have only one custom layout for iPoker (and it is set up for mini-tables too)
but when I play in Ongame (once again - MINI tables), next thing happens:
a) Hud dont recognize tables automatically - need manual redsquare moving
b) after this stats appear on table, but - default config instead of my custom
c) after manually changing it to other (called "MyOngame") stats appears, but not in positions where I have saved them last time (month ago)
d) and these positions don't correspond Ongame chair locations - they stay in places where are chairs on Ipoker mini-tables around a table
e) and I cannot move them at all with not right mouse click and not with Ctrl pressed

When I play on Ipoker, HUD do recognize tables (again - mini) but it thinks the default config must be allpied - need to manually change. The good news is that after that stats are in their correct positions.

Because of that I stopped playing in Ongame :-)))

You've probably addressed this before, but I didn't see it. I see that when I import cake hands now it's putting CakeSeatX for my opponents. Can you tell me the reason for this? I know that Cake don't want other players to be tracked, but their solution to this was the starred out version of the names in the hand histories. Why have you gone beyond this? It's very useful to be able to differentiate between opponents on a session-by-session basis, which the CakeSeatX version of things doesn't allow for.

in all my cake hands the CO has the button. It's wrong in the HEM-handhistorys ("Seat xx is the button") and in the replayer, but not in the overview.

It's still in beta 4. Am I the only one with this problem?

You can enter the first number but with the second you can only enter a 1 digit number and when you enter the second one, the first one is automaticly set to the second one.

For example, you want to enter :
Between 15 & 20

You first enter 15, it's ok
When you move to second number and begin to write 2, the first number becomes 2 and you can't enter the 0 (for 20) as when you write 0, the second number becomes 0 and the first one too

You have to set autoimport folder to:

C:\Documents and Settings\$$USERNAME$$\Local Settings\Application Data\P5\bwin\handhistory

where $$USERNAME$$ is your windows user name.

"Local Settings" is a hidden folder, so you have to enable it in Control Panel (if disabled).

Is anyone else having problems with slow HUD? I tried the beta and it gets all laggy when I run 6-tables tiled on FT, as in the table graphics don't update (can't see cards, can't see the action buttons etc) and it lasts so long sometimes that I get timed out of the hand. I have had no such problem while running 1.08.04, and I've immediately rolled back from the beta. Using WinXP with more than adequate system capability.
Same once I hit 7 tables it is awful


i'd really like to try this but i'm afraid of any lag issues. has the lag issues been solved for full tilt?

Live tracking doesn't work on UB in beta 5. It just says "no bet" where the live tracking information is supposed to pop up. I have my chat set to everything. When I click the "no bet" a pop up comes with the table name and says "This hand" but there is no information being written for the hand.

It does save the check mark box when you select it in site options now though, so that part was fixed.

I play at ongame (bwin) ... I instaled beta 5 and now i can run HUD only at 1 table... And even on that 1 table after few hands hud doestnt get any new hands ... But when i look at session on cash game, every hand is imported ...

When no more hands are imported in HUD it gets error HM didnt attached any new hands or something like that.

This temporary solution might work in the meantime for stars users


You can roll back the update by closing stars and copying the files from - C:\Program Files\PokerStars\backup, and going up one level and pasting them into - C:\Program Files\PokerStars\.

Create a shortcut for PokerStars.exe instead of Poerstarsupdate.exe and run it that way.

Disclaimer: Please only do this as a last resort as it may or may not cause other issues

This is usually caused by a confict, check all you layouts, no 2 layouts should have the same box ticked eg 6max NL if there is a conflict like this it dosent know which one to use as your telling it to use 2 huds so it just reverts to the default. Couldnt get hand histories to compare with my own play, track what mistakes I was making againts who.

Using the new update, I was able to have all my hand histories imported but it named everyone cakeseat1 and cakeseat2 etc and of course lumped all players together who ever sat in those seats which is everyone. For some reason it recongized me. If you set up the naming convention to start at the point in the name that the 4 unique letters are we could keep track of who we are playing against in the hand.

This isn't allowed by Cake which is why it was done like this. They forbid hud use and tracking of any players but yourself

PS has the HUD displaying for my MTT 180 max but it still isn't working in my Step 9 man SnGs. Table manager only recognizes the first Step SnG - playing more than one it does not recognize other Step tables. The one it does recognize is named 'turbo' and lists 0/6(short) players.
