postgreSQL won't start

I keep getting the error message that some services stop automatically etc.
I've gone through the process located in the sticky and the faq a dozen times and unistalled/reinstalled postgre over and over. Sometimes I can get it to work, but then inevitably if I close hem I end up back at square one. Now I try to register the new version of hem and of course it still says I'm not registered the next time I open it.

I just installed AVG before this last instlling goround by the way. Do I need to remove that and just go completely unprotected?

The thing with this error is you need to follow this FAQ 100% http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=34 which will also lead to FAQ 171, if you skip a step or dont completely uninstall the firewall and antivirus as per the steps in the FAQ it wont fix it.

I would recommend reinstalling the firewall and antivirus AFTER youve installed all the steps and its working then you can try reinstalling them again

What firewall do you use BTW, id recommend Zonealarm for firewall and either AVG or Avast for antivirus
