I just started using my HEM again a couple of days ago after over 7 months of not playing poker due to a death in the family.

I use a different computer for poker and HEM, so hadn't used the computer in months.

So my windows found and installed a bunch of updates and ran a checkdisk. After the checkdisk I am getting this error when I attempt to see a report:

The following error occurred when running this report: ERROR: XX001: could not read block 0 of relation 1663/16865/17127: read 0 of 8192 bytes.

It was handling reports fine prior to this. And I did update to v1.08.04

Thank you.

Looks like the database is corrupt, try doing a vacuum http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=163 and if that dosent solve it please export your hands from the old database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=173 then create a new database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146 and reimport the hands into the new database

If its too corrupt to export the hands youll need to import your archived hands instead

Thanks morny, I don't remember my password, fabio last worked on my db thru teamviewer, what password would he likely have used?

Thanks morny that helped, it wasn't exact but it got me trying a couple of other things.

OK so I did the vacuum and am coming up with this error:

ERROR: invalid page header in block 19825 of relation "playerhandscashkeycolumns"

Then when I hit OK, it just keeps coming back to the same error.

What do I do with this?

Did you create the new database yet? If so did you restore the old corrupt database to it or something because it looks like its corrupt again?

No, I haven't yet created a new db, that was a result of the vacuum.

Yeah theres no point in trying to vacuum the database if your going exporting the hands, when you create the new database it should solve all the issues

Yes, but you'd suggested that I try to vacuum first and I was reporting the results of it.

I'll work on creating a new db next.
