I cannot vacuum my database without receiving some postgres error.

I cannot purge selected hands without HEM crashing (Error: Program Not Responding).

I simply want to start my database over from scratch. Delete the 120+GB database data I have right now and start at zero. I dont want to uninstall and reinstall postgres or any other software unless absolutely necessary. I just want to delete all of the data in my database to free up space and make things faster.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Just create a new database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=146 and delete the old one http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=21

You mentioned you dont want to keep your old hands, if you just wanted to keep your own then see this thread http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=187

Thanks morny.

I created a new Database (HoldEmManager2) and deleted my old one (HoldEmManager). It freed up about 50-60GB in about ten seconds. :o)

However, my postgresql folder in Program Files is still 55GB. Should I go into pgAdminIII and vaccuum or delete the postgres database? I'd really like that 55GB back.

Check this out,I just did the log file thing which is in the original thread from OP.
-10 How to make PostgreSQL stop making those big log files (http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=8423) (I had 8 GB of logfiles before I realized you're allowed to delete the content of the data/pg_log directory!)
