What is this bullshit with "license not found"?

I have paid for this software, I have registered it. Why does it all of a sudden fail to realize this? Why do I have to prove myself over and over? And why doesn't it even work? No other software I have ever owned does this. I remember having license problems several times over with HH, but I think this latest one is a new variant.

"A valid license could not be obtained for 'Hold'em Manager'. Please contact Hold'em Manager for assistance."
