Stars not working

I can get Stars table scanning on my first computer but the second (also an XP) I cannot get either server side (does nothing) or client side (goes to one table in my specified stakes and does not load it, just hangs there). I have text set to medium and the HUD works ok for 1.08.04. Whats my next step, would like to have the table scanner.

Are clear type fonts in windows disabled?
