I set-up the software and everything was working perfect, including the HUD etc.

Now when i try and start HM i'm getting errors that say "unable to read data from transport connection. An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host."

So i click 'ok' and the software doesn't load. The database control panel comes up with the server name etc etc, i try and click connect as the password and login name are already in, and it then comes up with another box listing errors about connection. I could screenshot it if it's needed to help me more...

I did d/l the 1.08 beta 22 version but i did this when i had this problem anyway so i know it isn't anything wrong with that and it did say successfully installed beta etc. I was hoping that puting this version in might help but obv not. I'm not sure if i need to take this out again to fix this problem but i'm sure it's not that hard to do.

I'd appreciate any help with this and i can give any more details that are needed to help me obv.

(sry if this isn't the right forum to post this )

I did it all exactly and it worked. Then some days later i'm getting the EXACT same problem :(

Please tell me i don't have to go through all that every time i get this problem, it's getting so frustrating now.

Yeah its a Vista firewall issue, someone mentioned it seems to be something to do with the malicious software tool built into Vista and the updates occasionaly seem to reactivate the problem, it seems to occur less with AVG, Avast and Zonelaram firewall but thats just from personal experience and might be coincidence, it may reoccur but most of the stuff in the FAQ will already be done so just reinstalling postgreSQL should fix if the problem reoccurs

Right i re-installed post-gres and it worked again but then i got the same problem. I decided to re-install HM and post-gres but i only have 1 problem, i can't delete the post-gres folder out of program files so i can re-install it. It says i don't have permission to delete it?

And i obv need to delete it before in re-install post-gres otherwise when i try to install it, it says the account name already exists and it rolls back the installation.

Any ideas?

edit- i managed to delete the post gres folder. So now i've extracted the post gres files onto my desktop, i install the msi file as i did the first time and it seems to be installing and then right at the end, it pops up with an error which i've included a pic of below.

That another weird error that rarely occurs which leads me think there might be some issues with your system, have a look at this thread and see if any of the solutions work http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showthread.php?t=5363&highlight=Internal+account+lookup+failure
