http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=101 Please see this FAQ about things to backup, then just uninstall PostgreSQL and reinstall it on the new drive. Id also recommend exporting the hands before starting in case there is any problems restoring the database http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmviewfaq.aspx?faqid=12

Thanks,

Ive followd these steps, everything went well. however i did get a message while restoring the database. i pressed OK and it says if i wanted to do it again... i pressed no.

Now ive got this error messagen when starting HEM: An error occurred when retrieving the player list: ERROR: 22P05: character 0x8d of encoding "WIN1252"has no equivalent in "UTF8"

I hope you can tell me whats wrong, and what i can do about it.

thanks,

Dirk

Sounds like the database didnt restore, there may be a problem with it, did you follow the FAQ and restore it to a new database? If so please try again and if the problem persists do you have a backup of the HH's and if so just create a new database in HM and reimport those
