type initializer for <module> threw an exception

My computer crashed and lost all my data. I am just trying to do a new install for both HEM and postgre after reinstalling windows. I have gone through the forum and also contacted support (which I get a reply every 24hrs telling me to update software). I have installed windows .net updates and regular updates. I have been down for 5 days now. Please advise.

Hi, what firewall are you using, as this can sometimes cause the issue, also follow the instructions to update.net and visual c as discussed in this thread http://forums.holdemmanager.com/manager-general/88821-unhandled-exception-has-occured-when-i-start-hm.html

hey, I went through the net. steps again and it worked this time. I don't believe I totally erased the old .net frame files before. Anyway thanks for the help. I have been working on this for five days. Wheeeeeew.
