I have recently been recommended to perform vacuum analyse on my database by holdem manager as queries have been on the slow side. I have performed it a few times recently and also removed some of the hand view column stats but the performance has not really improved. One question - when I am doing the vacuum analyse (through pgAdmin III), I usually have the checkboxes "vacuum" and "full" checked, but not "freeze". Should freeze be checked/what difference would this make? I have only done the "vacuum" function of the maintenance.
I was also wondering - currently my database is about 55 gb big and I am running out of hard drive space. Is there anything else that one can do to make it smaller? The vacuum analyse doesn't seem to do much in this regard. Thanks for any help you can provide.
