I had a bluescreen error with Windows 7 which rebooted my comp (the error message was: Memory Management if that's relevant), and after rebooting my HEM said on startup that some .config file was damaged and HEM would autofix it. However, after this on startup HEM brought up the postresql connect window which has thus far only happened after a fresh install of HEM, and now I can't find my old database and HEM has a clean database with 0 hands. What do I have to do to get my old database back?

Please update to the latest version - http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe
This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.
First try to reboot.
If no help, try this:
Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Stop Service
Start > Programs > PostgreSQL > 8.x > Start Service
If that doesnt help delete the \postgresql\8.x\data\postmaster.pid file, if you see it. And reboot.
If that doesn't help you will have to reinstall PostgreSQL completely
