View Full Version : White overlay box on tables, lobby, and hand replayer

I have a white overlay (gradient) box that appears on all my tables and lobby (Bodog). It also appears on the hand replayer when it's expanded. It disappears for a minute or so when I reposition the tables/lobby/replayer but appears again shortly after. It goes away after I play my 1st hand at the table. Also goes away when I stop HUD or unclick the table/lobby under "Open Tables Detected" in Sessions tab.

Here (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/685/sample2z.jpg/)'s a screenshot of the overlay box on the bottom, right table. It looks to be ~90% opacity.

Here (http://imageshack.us/f/854/sample1c.jpg/)'s one that's applied to the table seating popup. Opacity level on this one seems lower.

Here (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/9/sample4ck.jpg/)'s another screenshot of the problem occurring on two tables. These are the lower opacity types, as to the high opacity box of the 1st screenshot. Which of the two opacity boxes appears seems somewhat random to me.

Here (http://imageshack.us/f/204/sample3q.jpg/)'s a screenshot of the replayer.

Whenever I reposition the window, they disappear, then reappears 30-60 secs later. If I simply mouse click on the window, it disappears for a split second then reappears. They disappear after the first hand is observed on a table and my preferred HUD settings get applied. That is until I minimize or reposition the table--then the overlay reappears and I have to wait for another hand to be played out until it goes away. On the replayer, it occurs when it's expanded and it doesn't go away. On the lobby, it only goes away when I uncheck the lobby under Sessions, Open Tables Detected.

Here (http://imageshack.us/f/38/sampleconfig.jpg/)'s a screenshot of my configuration.

Export your hud and upload it here as an attachment.

In hud options - config, enable hud logging on the far right corner.

Upload your log when this happens.

I am getting this also- 1961119621 I have done the everything that I have read (latest video card driver for the nVidia 8600GT, delete the prefs file, etc. The only thing that helps is move the opacity slider all the way to the left, as you can see in the config. The screen cap of the tables was done with the slider all the way to the right however.

thanks,

Michael

20311 This is the HUD that I am using. Also, FWIW, I have never had the white overlay of the lobby, only tables, and haven't had it on the replayer but I haven't used it that much.

Has this issue been corrected. I still get this playing on poker stars. After 1st hand corrects itself. However, when going in poker stars hand replayer, always remains white. can see through the white but no HM2 stats through white screen

I have not done anything with my video card 1, because i have no idea how to find it (NVIDIA geforce - video card?)and 2, computer is 6 months old at best and is quite decent from my understanding.

I am not sure how to allow HM2 in my security/firewall (provided by my internet provider) so nothing done. I was hoping this was a problem that will be fixed in an update and nothing I will need to do? I Hope.

Tried uploading a log but with my limited computer skills decided it was easier to put my fist through the wall. Not kidding.

Thank you

Hi,

Please try putting the opacity all the way to the right in Hud Options > Config Properties and let me know if that solves the issue, if not try pushing it all the way to the left and see if the issue is still occuring. Do this for both mucked cards opacity and HUD opacity.

Windows 7 x64 here as well.

No difference for me, other than it makes the white overlay a bit more translucent instead of completely opaque. BTW, I have Windows 7 x64 on my laptop and it works fine (Radeon video card).

thanks,
Michael

Guys, do you have some special installed from PC manufacturer related with screeen appearence?
Like "stardock my colors" for HP Envy
(this thing made hm1 hud broken)

blkmagik98

I tried everything morny suggested but it didn't work for me either. I have a PC that I built myself- Intel i7 920 quad core, nVidia 8600GT video card, 12 GB memory and 6 internal drives (12TB).

What windows theme is everyone using?

Sarek
08-16-2011, 04:10 AM
I'd suggest (to find cause) disable all screen features and simplify windows interface to some like win98: very simple, with no shados, Aero, opacity and what else. Set off all candy-box beauties. Not to UNIWAC interface, but near it :)
If HM will work ok, then restore them back one-by one to see what exactly influences this. I have XP (also simplified, to maximum, btw) and never seen such issues in any software.

PunkAss

The problem disappears when using any of the non-aero themes and comes back when using any of the aero themes. However, running an aero theme and manually turning off aero (unchecking "enable transparency" under personalization, window and color appearance) doesn't fix the issue. I have been running a modified Windows 7 aero theme with aero turned off all along. I'm not sure what other settings to test under the aero theme.

Thank you. So question now is "to be or not to be?" Aero or HM...

does turning off aero work or switching to a non-aero theme solve the problem? i don't mind having aero off but using a non-aero theme in order to run hem seems a bit extreme.

You can do so by unchecking "enable transparency" under personalization, window and color appearance. But this doesn't seem to solve the issue for me. The problem only goes away when I use a non-aoro theme.

Quote from customers feedback:

You don't need to change theme manually at all. It's enough if you check the
"Disable desktop composition" -box in compatibility settings for HEM2 shortcut.

Also try unchecking manual z-ordering in hud options-config. If it's unchecked, try checking it.

OK, it seems my problem is related to my Logitech mouse software or Microsoft IntelliType, but I think it is the Logitech software. The Logitech Setpoint software crashed, and I noticed that I didn't have the white overlay any more, so I uninstalled it and don't have the problem now.

Logitech setpoint is the #1 cause of this issue.
