Hi,

I have a large DB so to speed it up I start deleting observed hands from the level i dont play anymore. But I noticed that every time i do that my DB gets really, really slow? I do vacuum, reindex, more vacuum and still it takes longer to load my hands than it did before? Any idea what can or should i do?

Using:
Win Vista
HM 1.08
Data Disk is made of 3 disks in stripe RAID0
Intel Core 2 Duo 3,6GHz
4GB RAM

Ty for your reply but i did all that before. The problem is that my DB gets slower if i purge some hands, which should make my DB faster not slower and i dont know why?

Try uninstalling your antivirus completely to test, there have been people reporting that this can slow things down alot, have you tried defragging http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Power-Defragmenter-Download-20185.html although its more likely to help importing speeds rather than retrieval speeds people with large databases say it helps alot.

Finally have you turned off winner columns http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/showpost.php?p=27023&postcount=2
