I had been using the old hmomaha beta that expired yesterday, so I downloaded the latest beta, which is supposed to work until may 8th (?). Every now and then (~once per orbit) the HUD stops working, when I check the taskmanager I see that CPU usage for HMHud.exe is in the 90% range, and all my partypoker tables stops working as well. Only way to make party respond is to kill hmhud.exe. I also get a runtime error every now and then, unfortunately I cant remember the exact text. Oh, some tables are identified as 10 player tables in the table manager, even tho I only play 6 max.

I'm running Win XP SP3 in a VM with all the latest updates. I dont think computer resources is the issue, i got pretty modern computer specs (core i7 920, 6 gigs ram etc)

EDIT: I followed these instructions (http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=162), but they didnt change anything. I also update to HM 1.08.01.

EDIT2: Got that runtime error again, I took a screenshot (click to view full size): http://bildr.no/thumb/400855.jpeg (http://bildr.no/view/400855)

EDIT3: Tried uninstalling, then installing 1.07 and then 1.08.01 patch, but still the same issue.

The error seems to be a problem with reading one the live hand histories in "C:\FreePHG_HandHistories\live". Please delete everything in that folder. If you see the bug again, zip everything up and send it to me mike@holdemmanager.net..You might have to rename the file nzip or something to get around email secuirty.

OK, so i deleted all the files in my freephg folder, but i still get the hud freeze up. I dont think the runtime error is related to the freezes tbh, as i dont get those at the same time (thread topic says multiple issues).

I did upload my freephg folder after the previous lockup, in case you meant that i should ship it after a lockup, and not one of those runtime errors.

EDIT: Looking into my event viewer i notice there's new entries saying application hang up, indicating that the event viewer have picked up the hmhud.exe hang

I havent experienced any hangups after i disasabled my antivirus (NOD32) 15 minutes ago. Apparently it was not enough to exclude the holdem manager folder from the protected folders list.

EDIT: nevermind, still crashes :/

I have the exact same issue as described. I'm pretty sure it started happening after Party updated their software a few days ago. Before then everything worked perfectly and I haven't updated HEM or anything since then.

How to resolve? I'm pretty computersavvy (I'm a developer myself) so just tell me how I can help with debugging.
