Default "a valid license for holdem manager was not found" - after formatting hard drive

so i formatted my hard drive, and windows 7 archives all old windows installation files (and documents, etc) in a folder on the drive. my previous installation of HM2 is in that archive, as well as all of my hand histories, etc. they are in their default HM2archive folder in c://.

when i try and open the HM2 application from the archived folder, i receive an error message saying "A valid license of r Hold'em Manager was not found. Hold'em Manager will now exit".

basically i want to know if its possible to just rewrite some registry files to get this working again without having to reinstall Hm2. i had to format without the availability of backing up my data (config files, etc) - the HD was not responsive. basically if i reinstall Hm2 i will lose access to my config files, my HUD setups, things like that.

    anything i can do?

    thanks

All your settings are in your config folder. Do you have access to it to back it up?

Please check and try the suggestions in the following thread:
