Default HM Issues After New FT Update

Ok, my HUD kept freezing after about 7 hands so I downloaded the latest Beta. Now HM doesn't open at all. I'm using Windows XP Professional and I play on Full Tilt. Why did they need to update their site. Everything was fine as it was! If its not broke, why fix it?

I don't know much about all the computer jargon so please keep any help simple lol. What other information is needed?

This is the error message I get when opening HM now:

Is it worth uninstalling HM completly and then re-installing it?

So I uninstalled it all and re-installed it. Now holdem manager opens, but it seems to be an older version, and it won't let me upgrade. And, the HUD doesn't appear at all. I really hope to get this sorted soon.

Sorry for my first answer, i forgot to add a link to the FAQ Topic.

What do you mean it doesn't let you upgrade?
Reboot your computer and try again.

You need to Right-Click > Extract the HoldemManager.zip file, before you can run the installer in the package. When you double click on a zip file you are simply opening it in an extraction utility/preview. You need to extract teh contents to a new folder, and then run the installer.

Had the same problem. The BETA fixed it.

When I click to extract the files, I get this message:
