I am looking for information on how to analyze a certain player pool or part of it (e.g. regs). I am interested in analyzing with what range a pool plays different lines on different boards. This should work with NC, right?

You can create HM2 aliases from color definitions then do the analysis from HEM using their filters and reports. That is likely the easiest option. Also you can do definition analysis NoteCaddy Note Definition Analysis - Assaultware Wiki which would be a little trickier to get working on just subsets of the player pool.
