Question about "Update HUD immediately when data changes" setting

Hello. Recently HM support fixed my issue with blinking HUD on Zoom tables by disabling the "Update HUD immediately when data changes" option in NC settings. What does it change? Will my NC stats be updating longer now?

HM gives NC only a brief period to give it the notes. If NC can't load it fast enough it waits for the next hand. In zoom that's a problem. If you're not getting notes then choosing that option is a good idea. Some people use it with no blinking so I'm not sure why it happens sometimes
