Default Note Creation Slower for New Database

Since my old database was getting too big, I created a new database which contains approx 50% of the hands in my old database. However, note creation for the new database seems to be considerably slower than for the old database. I.e., for the old database notecaddy processes around 200 hands per second, for the new database only around 100 hands per second. This speed differential is reproducable and stable, i.e., happens every time I test this for the old and new databases.

Anyone has a possible explanation for this? I have a 128 GB SSD, atm around 45GB free space.

    Thanks
