Default Any chance to make NoteCaddy work faster?

    Hello!

I made test database with only 1 player hands (18k hands)

In Notecaddy filters I put him in VIP List, so, only this player will noted.

I never play any games in my computers, so i think that my 4 years old AMD Athlon 64 3500+ will be Ok for different poker programs. In NoteCaddy i had about 20-22 hands in second - not so good, as in your tutorial video

    But is not the case!

I made elementar definition - Preflop 4 Bet.

Holdem Manager makes this filter about 3-4 secconds.
NoteCaddy make notes or seek 18K/20 hands per second - about 15 minutes.

Maybe, for players which have big amount of hands need to use other algorithms when writing notes?

I am not a programmer, but perhaps there are other options besides brute force?

Ty, i hope you understand my english

first toggle the turbo hand grabber. meaning turn it on if it was off and vice versa

i would also recommend you to first run a complete maintenance on your database (vacuum analyze) and then defrag your hard disk.

i am guessing in 4 yrs you have never defragged you disk and its heavily fragmented making it lot slower.

i recommend using o&o defrag software as it is effective on postgres files. its free for 30 days.

20-22 hands is not too bad for a 4yr old pc though. how much ram do you have and what is your OS xp or win7.

Lastly hm and nc are two very diff programs and work very differently when parsing HH. and as you would have noticed Nc can do a lot of indepth stuff .

    Ty nilaynilay!

I made defragmentation with Perfect Disc and Auslogic defragmentator ~1 time in 2 weeks, also I have fast 1 TB Hard disk With logical disk D: ~ 200 GB where only HM database is.

Of course i use turbo hand grabber option - this give me about +2-3 hands per seconds more.

I have Win XP SP 3 system, with 4 GB RAM.

What new processor you advice me for 150+ hands per second?

You work closely with a team of HM, maybe you have the opportunity, when you need to get notes on a small number of players (Vip list Option) with plenty of hands to use a parser HM, especialy, when i need small amount of notes for each player(3-5)?

    Ty for your work, guys.

more than processor a solid state hard disk will make a bigger diff. for processor go with I series. if money no object then get the 12 core I series that sreti has

i am not sure if they can defrag postgres files as they get locked when windows starts. o&o actually has a special mode where it defrags before even windows boots.
