    Default Error when trying to backup DB

    i get the following error when trying to backup my DB via the Backup/Restore tool:


    [6/29/2011 8:36 PM] 2010/2011: error: pg_dump: [archiver] could not open output file "C:\Users\Olli\AppData\Local\Temp\43ae4216-8889-484c-b100-9171422ada65\dbs\2010/2011.sql": No such file or directory

    [6/29/2011 8:36 PM] error: error backup up 2010/2011

    Which PostgreSQL version are you using?

    Try using pgadminIII instead: http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...estoreDatabase

    8.4 version 1.10.5

    and the latest HEM 1.11.07 internal-3

    Did you install PostgreSQL to a non default folder (or to a different partition/drive)?

    Try updating it to 8.4.8 with the installer from PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database
    Or turn off User Account Control: How to Disable and Turn Off UAC in Windows 7 « My Digital Life (and reboot)


    If that doesn't resolve it, just use pgadminIII instead.

    Yea i have my DB/postgresql on an external HDD. is that most likely the issue? had it set up like that for the longest time though and it always worked.

    Backup/Restore tool won't work if you're not using SQL 8.4.1, or it's not installed to the non default install-folder.
