Default Error while rtying to update database

    Hi,

I am trying to update to the newest release version. When I sturt up HM it says it will update the database, click ok and be patient. After about 15 minutes I get the following error message :

An error occurred while updating your DB (CompiledPlayerResults Phase 2): A timeout has occurred. If you were establishing a connection, increase Timeout value in ConnectionString. If you were executing a command, increate the CommandTimeout value in ConnectionString or in your NpgsqlCommand object.
Please close down any programs accessing the database and relaunch Holdem manager.

It has happened 2 times. I have rebooted my computer after the first one. I have Windows XP. Thanks for help.

Please don't update to 1.11.06h - it seems to be buggy on some installations. We removed the download.
    Please use 1.11.06g: http://www.holdemmanager.com/Downloads/HmUpdate.exe

I have updated to the version you gave. Now when I click on cashgame reports I have the following error message :
The following error occurred when running this report : ERROR: 42P01 : missing FROM-clause entry for table "td"

I have had the same error with the previous - otherwise working - version as well, this was the reason I have updated HM.

Also I have just imported a bunch or fush hands I played today and all of them imported as import errors.

Filter > Clear and then Filter > Use for all. Also try enabling the Options > Settings... > Miscellaneous > [x] Auto apply filter changes to all tabs

If you still get the same 42p01 error, try this:

    1. Note your database connection settings from the database management
    2. Close holdemmanager
    3. Go to the folder config in the holdemmanager installation path
    4. Rename the file holdemmanager.config to holdemmanager.config.corrupt or sth. like that.
    5. Under Vista make sure that UAC is switched off or check the administrator settings for holdemmanager.exe, hmhud.exe and dbcontrolpanel.exe under properties->compatibility
    6. Restart Holdemmanager
    7. Holdemmanager reinstalls and displays some messages and warnings
    7a. A new holdemmanager.config file is generated
    8. Reconfigure your database connection
    9. After successful start reconfigure your Auto-import settings
    10. Table manager should start again.

If the problem still persists, try creating a new database.

Thanks for help, I did managed to fix the 42P01 error, however hand importing does not work at all. It imported none of the hands I have played today, even when I try to reimport them from HM Archive folder. If I try to import the specific files, it says it found 0 files to import. These are Full tilt rush and HU sng hand histories.

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...+-+Backup+Tips

If the new DB works then your old database is corrupt.

    Export your Hand Histories
    http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands

    Export Your Notes
    http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/notes-02.jpg

Export Your Bonuses and Rakeback – Options > Rakeback & Bonuses http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/...bonuses-01.jpg

Export any tourney summaries by selecting all your tournaments in the Data View Sub-Tab of the Tourney > Results Menu and choose Export Tourney Results and summaries

    http://faq.holdemmanager.com/images/...ta-view-01.jpg

Then can you create a new database http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database

Finally reimport all your hands/notes/summaries into the new database

If you play a site like stars/ftp you can email their support and ask for all your old hand histories and tourney histories/results.

All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

    http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...Import+Folders

The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).
