    Default postgres problems

I am trying to re-install postgres and I keep receiving a date directory error that says :

The specified data directory is not empty.
If you have an existing database with the same version number, you do not need to initialize a database cluster.
If you have an existing database with a different major version you need to back up your old database or create a new one.

    Not sure what to do???

    Thanks in advance.

This indicates youve a previous database there already, if you want to use this database then just untick the database cluster on that page and finish the installation. If you dont want to keep the old database abort the installation, delete the PostgreSQL folder in Program Files and then reinstall and you wont get the error
