Default TROUBLE INSTALLING HM & HM2!! PostreSQL issue- does anyone know whats wrong

Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

I have been toying around with HM for the last 3 days checking up on all the forums to see what could possibly be wrong. I've never had so much trouble installing HM before.

I tried installing HM1 but before it finishes the combo installer gives me a message that Postgresql was not installed - "Sorry, could not install PostgreSQL"-. So looking through the forums they told me it is most likely due to Antivirus software. I uninstalled both Norton and AVG which were my only antiviruses and ran everything under administrator but the problem still remains.

I have turned off UAC as well as turned off all windows firewalls. I am the administrator of this account. I have activated secondary login and my windows are up to date. Additionally, they said it could be my username/account name but it is all in English and I've had no problem installing HM before. I tried installing it under c:/ instead of c:/program files (x86) but postgreSQL would still not install properly. I have uninstalled everything with Revo Uninstaller as well as using the command prompt under run as administrative to delete PosgreSQL for a fresh re-install. I have also tried creating a secondary user with administrative control to install HM and PostgreSQl but it did not work so I ended deleting that user.

    The same goes with HM2
After installing, i get the same error that postgreSQL was unable to install. I have tried stopping and starting service but to no avail.

Does anybody know what could possibly be wrong? I've done Google searches for every single problem I've encountered but nothing seems to help . I feel like I've exhausted all options

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, I am having troubles installing postgres 8.2 on the service configuration step. When I press next it says Invalid username specified: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

For my service name it is : PostgreSQL Database Server 8.2
    Account name: postgres
    Account domain: (myusername)
Password: I've tried leaving it blank and putting in simple passwords but it wont let me get past this step

The user postgres may already be created during your previous installations. Please try postgrespass as password
