hm stopped workinggg, help!

i'm using windows7, play on ongame.
during a session i start getting errors on imported hands, then hm stops working alltogether. i am pretty low on disk space and was just deleting some files because i got a message from windows saying that i should clean up disk space, so maybe this was what caused it (i now have enogh space again).
anyway, i restart and try to open holdem manager. i get this window:

An error occurred while reading the config/HOldem Manager.config file: The root element is missing (this last part is in german, probably not translated correctly).
Holdem Manager will now backup the old config file and creat a new one for you.

i click ok and get a mrcrosoft .net framework error. it says the file can't be created because it already exists. if i try to skip this, i get a holdem manager window (the small one where it says validating...) and then nothing happens.

i tried installing the newest patch, but the same thing happens.

what am i supposed to do? especially if i don't wanna lose my database and my notes?

Try deleting holdemmanager.config.
Then restart HoldemManager.
And re-setup your auto import folders
