Default Accidentally uninstalled postgreSQL and lost all my hands

I still have my data folder which is over 3 gb. However, when I try to re-install 8.4 and 8.3 and merge the data folders, I keep getting errors.

Can anyone help me? I'm pretty screwed if I cant fix this.

You need to install the postgresql version you used before to access your old data folder again. I guess you should try with an older 8.3 or 8.4 version.

You should find all the available postgresql versions on PostgreSQL: The world's most advanced open source database.
