Catastrophic failure?

My hud wasn't working on stars so i check the site to see if there was a update . There was so I down loaded it.It stop and said cant do something so i press ok it started downloading more then did the same thing about 7 more times.it finished but there was still no hud i restarted it and the message that popped up said
this Application has encountered an error 0X8000ffff.with following description: Catastrophic failure Please contact the publisher for more information.
Please help Thanks in advance

restart your computer and install beta 13 patch again.

i just fond this so ill try it and see
