Default Was given a key for trial and now replaced by a key for registered HEM

    Hello,

    my email is: linabina0508@gmail.com

I was given a key that was for the trial period so I can clear the points required on FT to get the free software. I have completed the trial period and now have a "new" key.

I have installed HEM on a different computer (than the trial key) and it works so I now want to use the full version on the computer that I did the trial on and I am having difficulty trying to chance the key.

Screen goes to through the automated install and says trying to connect and says connect, but then it gives me errors and it shows that its reading the old, trial key instead of the new one that was issued me. Please advise where I would go to change that or perhaps change it on your side?!

    Thanks.

First of all, we need to enable the option to see Hidden Files: How to see hidden files in Windows

    Problems Registering Holdem Manager:

    1. Delete C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\holdemmanager.exe.ldat (Program Files (x86) if you have the 64bit version)

    2. Delete C:\ProgramData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic (XP Users can find the file at C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\AppData\XHEO INC\SharedLicenses\HoldemManager.lic)

    3. Update to the latest beta - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloads/HmBetaUpdate.exe

These are hidden SYSTEM files. (not just regular hidden files)

    Then please try this:

    1. Update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...4_Internal.exe
    2. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug
    3. Open HM and register
    4. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file

the licdebug.txt file debugs the software and should clear the old "stuck" serial

The key above that I blacked out is still my trial key. I entered the .txt file in there and it still did not prompt me to enter the new serial number (which I was expecting). Same result as before.

Also, I do not see the license folder that was found in the Application Data/XIXO/ folder above. That folder was empty with no files located inside.

    Hi everybody,

I think I have the exact problem: I was using an old serial code and bought another one and now I can't make HM work. I've done what you have told us but it's still not working.

I also try to access the web page where you reset the serial code but it doesn't let me log in.

    Thank you for your time.

besides deleting holdemmanager.lic... did you try the licdebug.txt file?
HM is starting in debugging mode now?

I created a new .txt file (with no content in the file) in the config folder as suggested above. I did not see difference in the startup of HEM.

I have a neighboring computer that is using that key and works fine. If I take that .lic file that was in the SharedLiscence folder and put it in the coorsponding folder would that work?

How about a way to completely wipe the program off the computer (registry and all) and then do a clean install where it will prompt me for the serial key again?

    Doing this:

    1. Update to http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...4_Internal.exe
    2. Create a new text document in the Config folder and name it LicDebug
    3. Open HM and register
    4. Close HM and delete the LicDebug.txt file
    Made it work.

    Thank you very much!
