I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 and can't launch HEM anymore due to postgreSQL database. Does anybody know a fix to this issue? I have already tried reinstalling and other solutions I have found.

At the moment HM doesn't support Windows 8 (as its not released yet). I guess you are using a beta?
