    I have Secunia & 8.4 & I get the same message too
It is saying that you (& me) are on version 8.4.1.9250 & it regards that as a security threat
Secunia is advising you to update to 8.4.2 (I think the latest version is actually 8.4.3 )

Here is the info you get if you click on the 'Online References' link inside secunia
PostgreSQL SSL Certificate Processing and Privilege Escalation Vulnerabilities - Advisories - Community

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION ONLY: Secunia is very good, but it can be a bit TOO keen at times. I update most of the stuff it tells me to, but Secuna is not that smart
For example it keeps advising me about an XP SP patch I need...
but when I try MS update there are none needed (according to MS)
I have decided to ignore Secunia regarding postgreSQL, but that's just my opinion. Does anyone think otherwise ? Am I doing the wrong thing ?

i have no clue its really weird ...i downloaded the full install from here did a clean install and removed all reg keys etc etv and it gave me that ...when i download the "update" from postgres website and install 8.4.3 or w/e it is it wont let me update the files because it asks for my windows user account postgress password or something to that wording and using postgrespass it doesnt work so lol

I'm unsure about your problem, but when I looked at 8.4.3 on the postgreSQL site it says that you can't 'update' to 8.4.3 from earlier than 8.4.2 without doing a dump/restore (which I think means you're basically installing a clean new version of postgreSQL)

In other words I don't think you can download the "full install from here" & then 'update' it to 8.4.3

you need to read the revision notes on the postgreSQL site it explains about the update paths
