    Default HM wont start up

HM stopped working to day as I played and I think it was the problem causing my tables to freeze -- t seesm it happens everyday. I played ongame and prima while it happened.

I then trid to re-install etc. And now I can't even get it to start. It says: "an error occured on startup: .............................................."

    Hope you can help, thanks

Which Operating System, Firewall, and Anti-Virus are you using?

Try to reinstall HM with revo - http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=20816

Under Vista and Windows 7 make sure UAC is disabled http://www.holdemmanager.net/faq/afmmain.aspx?faqid=73 or else you must set \holdem manager\dbcontrolpanel.exe, holdemmanager.exe and hmhud.exe are started as administrator. Run the windows explorer and navigate to your Holdemmanager installation directory. Right click the executables and select "Run as admin" from the compatibility tab. Windows 7 you MUST set all the executables to always run as admin. You should do the same for your poker site executables.

    Hi,
I use AVG anti virus, Ad-aware for spyware and windows firewall. I never had a problem before. Nothing new is on the computer or something like that. I use windows XP.

If i re install HM won’t I lose all the hands I played and all the datamined hands? I really don’t want this to happen. Also I made a bunch of changes to my HU display etc that took a war to do, I also really don’t want to lose all these changes.

What do I do not to lose all this information?

No, reinstalling Hm does not affect your postgresql DB.

If you backup your \config folder as explained in my instructions you wont lose the HUD. Hopefully you have previously exported the HUD as well, so it is already backed up.

If you want to be sure you have everything backed up, before reisntalling HM, follow these directions - http://www.holdemmanager.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=20754
