HM Version?
Firewall?
Virusscanner?
Postgresql Version?
Did you try a reboot?

Sorry,
I just bought and downloaded HEM and did everything according to the steps in the installation and now that message pops up when I try to start it.
Windows XP
HM 1.09
Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0
Postgresql 8.3

Try this Kaspersky fix - Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 not working with PostgreSQL? Here is the solution!
If that doesnt work try uninstalling Kaspersky temporarily and rebooting, and try to get HM and SQL working. Then you can install new firewall and anti-virus, one at a time.
