    Operating system?
    HM Version?
    Firewall?
    Virusscanner?
    Postgresql Version?
    Did you try a reboot?
    Is your system uptodate?
    ...

    Sorry,

    I just bought and downloaded HEM and did everything according to the steps in the installation and now that message pops up when I try to start it.

    Windows XP
    HM 1.09
    Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0
    Postgresql 8.3

    Try this Kaspersky fix - http://forums.holdemmanager.com/showthread.php?t=21610

    If that doesnt work try uninstalling Kaspersky temporarily and rebooting, and try to get HM and SQL working. Then you can install new firewall and anti-virus, one at a time. Make sure to reboot and test HM after each new install. If you lose connection you have found the cause.
